Luani is designed to help you track cycle, mood, energy, habits, and related wellness data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, when it may be shared, and what choices you have.

By using Luani, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, birth details, cycle dates, symptoms, mood logs, energy logs, journal entries, habits, and preferences.

We may collect account information, such as your email address and sign-in details when you create an account.

We may collect technical information needed to operate the app, such as device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic data.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the app experience, personalize cycle and wellness insights, save your logs, sync your account when cloud features are enabled, and improve reliability and performance.

Crash reports help us investigate app failures faster and keep Luani stable. Analytics events remain optional and help us understand feature usage. We do not use this telemetry to make medical decisions.

We may also use information to respond to support requests, maintain security, detect misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Health and Sensitive Data

Some data you enter into Luani may relate to health, reproductive wellness, mood, or other sensitive personal information. We treat this information as sensitive and only use it to provide app features, backups, syncing, and support related to your account.

Luani is not a medical provider and does not use your entries to make medical diagnoses or treatment decisions.

Storage and Sync

Your data may be stored locally on your device and, if account or sync features are enabled, may also be stored securely in cloud services used to support the app.

Data stored on your device remains subject to the security of your device. You are responsible for maintaining passcodes, biometric protection, and secure access to your account.

When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, including authentication, database, hosting, storage, analytics, and customer support tools, but only as needed for those services.

Crash and analytics telemetry may be processed by Firebase services used by Luani to maintain product stability and measure app performance.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, protect users, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal requests.

Your Choices

You can review, update, export, or delete certain information through the app features that are available in Settings.

Crash reporting is enabled by default for new accounts, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings > Data & Privacy > Analytics & Diagnostics. Analytics remains optional and can be enabled or disabled there too.

You can stop using the app at any time. If you want your cloud-stored data removed, use the deletion tools provided in the app or email support@luani.lifestyle if needed.

Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize data within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.

Children’s Privacy

Luani is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email hello@luani.lifestyle so the information can be removed.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means the revised policy will apply.
