Depending on your settings, your information may be stored on your device, in your Luani account, or both.
When Cloud Sync is enabled, your information is securely stored so it can be backed up and accessed across your devices.
If you enable Journal Local-Only, your journal entries, dream journal entries, and Day’s End reflections remain stored only on your device and are not uploaded to your Luani account.
Some Luani features require access to services provided by your device.
These may include notifications, Apple Health, Google Health Connect, location, weather services, and other operating system features.
You choose which permissions to allow and can change them at any time through your device settings.
Analytics and Crash Reporting are optional and are disabled by default.
If you enable them, we may collect limited diagnostic, crash, and performance information to help improve Luani.
We use trusted service providers, including Firebase, to help provide authentication, cloud services, and optional analytics and crash reporting.
Luani includes an optional AI-powered companion for cycle and wellness support.
When you use Luani AI, your request is sent securely through Luani’s Firebase backend to OpenAI for processing using the OpenAI API. Relevant information from your Luani account may also be included when needed to provide a personalized response.
OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models by default. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring, subject to its applicable data-retention policies.
Luani AI is optional and is intended to provide general informational and wellness support. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
We work with trusted service providers that help us operate Luani. These providers process information only as necessary to provide services on our behalf.
